Her Confidant (ME4ME PTY LTD / ABN 69 673 654 423) operates the website https://herconfidant.com.au. We take your privacy seriously, and given the personal nature of what we do, your discretion and confidentiality matter to us as much as they matter to you.

This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, who has access to it, and the rights you have over it. We handle personal and sometimes sensitive information in line with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

What information we collect

We only collect information we actually need to provide our services and stay in touch with you. Depending on how you interact with us, this can include:

• Contact details — your name, email address and phone number.
• Booking information — when you book through our scheduling page (Calendly), we collect your contact details and general information about what you're looking for. We don't ask for or collect intimate or explicit personal details through the booking form.
• Newsletter details — if you subscribe, we collect your name and email address through Mailchimp.
• Payment information — payments are made by direct bank transfer. We don't collect or store credit card or bank account numbers; we simply see the name and reference on incoming transfers.

Sensitive information

Because of the nature of our work, some of the information you share with us may be considered sensitive. We only collect this where you choose to share it with us, we use it solely to provide you with the right experience, and we hold it under the confidentiality protections described below. We never share it beyond the people directly involved in delivering your service.

How we use your information

We use your information to:

• arrange and manage your bookings;
• communicate with you about your enquiry or experience;
• send you our newsletter, if you've subscribed (you can unsubscribe any time);
• run and improve our website;
• meet our legal and record-keeping obligations.

We do not sell your personal information. Ever.

Cookies and analytics

Our website uses Google Analytics 4, managed through Google Tag Manager, to understand how people use the site so we can improve it. This involves cookies that collect information such as the pages you visit and roughly where you're visiting from. We don't use any advertising or social media tracking pixels.

You can opt out of Google Analytics by adjusting your browser settings or using Google's opt-out tools, and you can manage or clear cookies through your browser at any time.

Who has access to your information

Your information is only seen by people who need it to deliver your experience or run the business. This includes:

• Anna and the Her Confidant team, who manage bookings and communication.
• Companions and contractors involved in your experience — this can include companions, and where relevant, practitioners such as photographers, sexologists or other wellbeing professionals working with Her Confidant.

Everyone involved with Her Confidant — companions, contractors and collaborators — is required to sign a contract and/or non-disclosure agreement before working with us. They are bound to keep your information confidential and to handle it with the same discretion we hold ourselves to.

We also use trusted third-party tools to run our operations:

• Calendly for scheduling;
• Airtable as our secure central database, where client contact details, booking records and operational information are stored;
• Zapier and connected AI automation tools to move information between our systems and help us draft and manage communications. The information passed through these tools is generally limited to contact details, companion names and experience names.
• Mailchimp for our newsletter;
• Google Analytics for website analytics.

These providers only access your information to perform their service for us, and we choose providers who maintain appropriate security and privacy standards.

A note on AI tools

We use automation and AI-assisted tools (through Zapier) to help us manage bookings and communications more efficiently. These tools process limited information such as contact details and booking-related names. We don't use AI to make decisions about you without human involvement, and a real person always oversees your experience.

When your information is sent overseas

Several of the tools we rely on — including Calendly, Airtable, Zapier, our AI automation tools, Mailchimp and Google Analytics — store and process data on servers located outside Australia, primarily in the United States. By using our website and services, you acknowledge that your information may be stored or processed overseas. We only use reputable providers who are required to protect your information.

How we keep your information safe

We use reasonable security measures to protect your information, including access controls on our systems, password protection, and limiting access to the people who genuinely need it. As above, everyone with access is bound by confidentiality obligations.

While we take protecting your information seriously, no method of storage or transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.

How long we keep your information

We keep your personal information for as long as we need it to provide our services and maintain our relationship with you, and for any period we're required to keep it for legal, tax or administrative reasons. When we no longer need it, we delete or de-identify it.
